It’s time to ring up some good old-fashioned fun! No cash required: just cardstock, glue, and a little creativity. So, gather up your supplies and make this 3D cash register with me today!

My wonderful patrons picked this fun design! Each month, my Patreon subscribers help me choose the projects I create, and this design was one of the top picks for August.

1. Use your cutting machine or X-ACTO knife, along with my template, to cut out all of the pieces of this 3D cash register.
Note: If you are using the SVG files that includes the score lines, don’t forget to set them as such in Cricut Design Space and attach them to their shapes before sending them through your cutting machine. I used a lime green color to mark the score lines, so hopefully that helps! If you’re having trouble with the score lines, check out this video.
2. Layer each of the decorative pieces as shown in the top photo below.
Then, connect the main pieces of the cash register body, as shown in the bottom photo.

3. Connect the top piece of the register to the main section using the tabs/slits provided.
Then fold the whole thing along the score lines and attach the tabs along one edge.
Repeat the process with the other side.

4. Next, make the drawer box by folding the main piece along the score lines and attaching the sides together.
Then, attach the two divider walls to the interior of the drawer. Glue the three rectangular liner pieces inside.
Slide the whole thing into the base of the cash register.

5. Attach the remaining square piece to the curved front of the register.
Attach the buttons, number plates, and side handle using foam tape.
Use a piece of ribbon for the drawer pull and add any other decorative embellishments that you would like. Your 3D cash register is complete!

I included all of the number options for the top plates, so you can use whichever ones you like! The top portion of the cash register is also a great place to add customization if you plan to make this for somebody in particular—you could add their name or the name of the store they work at.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy making this charming 3D cash register! I’m excited to see your results, so be sure to share them with me by either tagging me on Instagram or by sharing your work in my Facebook Group.
